Job Location: Iraq (Al Sahra Air Base, Tikrit)
The T-6A IP is the subject matter expert for all academic-related instruction on the T-6A Texan II. The selected candidate for this position provides Iraqi Air Force (IqAF) student pilots’ classroom academic and simulator instruction on multiple aviation-related topics, with an emphasis on T-6A systems and aircraft capabilities / operations, in accordance with USG-approved curriculum. The IP would also be a current and qualified T-6A IP and would perform in-flight instruction for Iraqi undergraduate-level students and graduate-level trainees. The selected candidate for this position will perform instruction duties in Iraq for one year or on a rotational basis, as determined by i3 management. |

Duties: |
Primary Duties: 1. Provide T-6A Texan II subject matter expertise in classroom presentations, program of instruction development, validation, and maintenance, and in support of the customers’ request for information on the T-6. 2. Provide academic instruction on all contracted courses in a classroom environment to ICAO standards using USG-approved program of instruction and operational guidance from the US and Iraqi Air Force. 3. Provide curriculum development support necessary for initial production, validation, and maintenance of contracted program(s) of instruction. 4. Provide simulator all-weather instruction to students and trainees in a T-6A Instrument Flight Trainer. 5. Provide actual all-weather in-flight instruction in the T-6A, to include General Handling (Contact), Instrument / Navigation, and Formation phases of flight. 6. Participate in US / IqAF instructor meetings or other forums mandated by the onsite company management. 7. Prepare all materials required for each in-coming Iraqi student class, to include, but not limited to: - Student reference binders - Student name tags for class room use - Reproduction of Notes Guides - All preparation required for student exams and tracking of results - Maintain inventory of recurring supplies and reference materials and ensure adequate stock is maintained
Additional Duties: 1. Support company recruiting and retention initiatives necessary to maintain the highest quality employees supporting this contract. 2. Support business development initiatives if and when required by company management. 3. Perform any and all on-site tasks necessary for a safe, secure, and professional operation.

Qualifications: |
Successful candidate will possess and be able to present a: 1. Current FAA Class I or II medical certificate prior to deployment. (Required) 2. Current FAA Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII). (Required) 3. Logbook and/or flight records verifying the following flight time minimums: a. 1,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) (Required) b. 500 hours T-6A (Required) / 1,000 hours T-6A (Preferred) c. 750 hours Instructor (CFI/II or military instructor time) (Required) 4. Graduation certification from a civilian and/or military formal flight instructor course. (Required)
Successful candidate will also: 1. Be able to qualify for a Department of Defense security clearance. 2. Meet Department of Defense medical requirements for deployment to Iraq. 3. Current State Drivers License and US Passport. |
