Field Service Technician DS MTD
The field service technician will be responsible for system administration, network monitoring, routine preventive maintenance, system/network statistical assessments, equipment problem tracking, and system/network problem resolution to designated computer systems. |

| Requirements: | Essential Functions and Desired Skill sets • It is required that the individual have a “working” knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals and system administration. • Responsible for rapid removal and replacement of equipment and in-depth troubleshooting to maintain mission effectiveness in a potentially stressful environment. • Strong background in system level maintenance of networks systems. • Installation, testing, monitoring, documenting, and repairing of LAN/WAN and satellite communication issues with service and hardware. • Building, installing and repairing of LAN mediums including but not limited to UTP, multimode fiber and 802.11 wireless. • Assist with the configuration and installation of new network equipment such as routers, switches and VOIP adapters. • Must have the ability to read and understand assembly and wiring drawings and schematics. • Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hours. • Must possess knowledge of basic hand tools and proper use. • Ability to lift 50 pounds correctly and safely. • The essential job functions of these projects routinely require lifting, bending, squatting, walking, carrying heavy objects, climbing, repetitive hand movements, working in confined spaces, overhead work and other functions. Certifications and Clearances Required • Must possess CompTIA A+ Certification. • Ability to obtain CompTIA Network + Certification within 180 days of hire. • Ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
