The Engineering Technician II will provide technical support to the Engineering / R&D functions for the purpose of development of major aerospace products and/or processes utilizing planning, engineering drawings, and specifications to build configuration critical test panels and/or complex composite components to meet quality performance, schedule, and cost goals. Responsible for composite materials and process development including composite test panel and specimen preparation, test and evaluation of composite materials, tabulation and correlation of test data, development of advanced and innovative manufacturing processes. Reading and interpreting laboratory work instructions, and aerospace material and process specifications.
Train other technicians in proper lab practice, organize their activities and the activities of the technician team, to achieve efficient and effective product development. Communicate and coordinate work activities with Engineering, Lab Technicians, and Quality Representatives. Independent and team problem solving to keep development work moving towards completion while working in a lean manufacturing environment.

| Requirements: |
•Requires a High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of five (5) years relevant experience working in a manufacturing environment; or an Associates / Technical Degree and three(3) years of experience. •Experience in composite product build with the ability to work with support technicians in an R&D/Production type environment highly required. •Experience with core fabrication, mechanical assembly, and composite repair preferred. •Operation of standard mills, surface grinders, and/or similar related machine shop equipment is a plus. •Ability to interpret engineering drawings/specifications. •Ability to support Lean Manufacturing events and activities. •Self motivated to achieve high quality results individually and in a team. •All candidates must be US Citizen or current Green Card holder. |
