REPORTS TO: Director of Consumer Marketing
POSITION SUMMARY:
As part of the Marketing Department, assists in the design, development and production of a variety of web functionality as part of the Allegiant Air Web Development Team. The successful applicant will also be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of Allegiant’s corporate Intranet and Extranet websites with the Manager of Internal Communications, and sharing the duties related to the public web site.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Offers web interface design ideas from layout design and concept to inception
- Assists in the maintenance and updating of current web site(s) under general supervision
- Ensures consistency, accuracy and compliance to required W3C standards; utilizes Version Control
- Maintains Intranet posting of policies, forms and related data using a variety of programming languages as needed with the Manager of Internal Communications
- Creates and edits appropriate web content under general supervision while maintaining SEO coding standards
- Successfully utilizes SEO and serves as back up for the SEM Team
- Interprets Webmaster requests and conveys them to the appropriate departments under general supervision
- Completes regular educational material to enhance existing skills and technologies
- Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have strong design and programming skills, a strong graphics background, understand information architecture and have the expertise to maintain varied types of content
- Knowledge of basic security measures and encryption needed to ensure protection of sensitive data
- The right candidate must have a diverse background in coding, implementing and supporting dynamic content
- Some knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing is a plus
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and with others, possess strong communication skills and have the know-how to manage projects
- The right candidate should be able to manage time effectively, have the ability to deal with the stress and pressure of meeting deadlines, and be flexible for extenuating circumstances
- A web-based portfolio of prior work is preferred
- Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent; Degree in Information Technology preferred or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training preferred
EXPERIENCE:
A candidate must have at least three (3) years of demonstrable experience with web site development and deployment KNOWLEDGE: Software/Language Skills: - PROVEN proficiency in PHP, HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, ASP.NET (C#) - PROVEN proficiency in Adobe Web Premium CS3 (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator, Fireworks, InDesign, Acrobat) - Strong knowledge of AJAX principles including DHTML - Proficiency in working in a Windows environment - Proficiency in various Microsoft products a must (Office 2007, SQL, etc.) WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office environment REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION STATEMENT: Allegiant Travel Company commits to making a reasonable accommodation to the known physical and mental limitations of qualified individuals with disabilities and qualified veterans, unless such accommodation would impose an undue hardship on the conduct of its business.
