The Integration Systems (IS) Segment is recognized internationally as a systems integration organization specializing in the modification and maintenance of aircraft of all sizes, and the study, design, development, and integration of special-mission systems for military and commercial applications.

The segment`s expertise spans the design, development, and integration of advanced avionics, special purpose airborne systems and aircraft modifications for government and commercial customers worldwide.

The segment`s core business includes the modernization of cockpit avionics, integration of special mission electronic warfare and intelligence-gathering systems, depot-level overhaul, prototype design, crash damage repair, and installation of interiors and avionics systems and certification for the complete Business, VIP and head-of-state aircraft.

IS has more than 6,000 employees organized into three major business units Integration Systems, Tactical Reconnaissance Systems, and Joint Operations Group. The segment is ISO 9001 certified as well as being an FAA Class 4 Unlimited Repair Station and Designated Alteration Station.

Required Skills: Requires a Bachelors of Science in Civil, Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering with emphasis on structural analysis, design, and test, minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Candidate must be able to generate free body diagrams, determine reaction forces, calculate internal loads, and develop shear and moment diagrams. The candidate should be able to apply the principles of Structural Mechanics to predict internal stresses and structural instabilities. Proficiency with accepted aerospace industry standard classical stress analysis techniques and finite element methods (linear and non-linear). Familiarity with FAA and military aircraft airworthiness certification process and requirements is mandatory.

The Senior Stress Engineer position requires that the candidate is able to support complex aircraft structural modification programs with minimal direction. Must be able to effectively present technical data in written and oral form to Customers and certifying agencies.

Desired Skills: Good computer skills including Microsoft Office and at least one programming language. A fundamental understanding of fatigue and durability and damage tolerance principles and analysis methods is beneficial.

Candidates must be willing to relocate and be eligible to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
