JOB SUMMARY
General Description
The Sr. Engineering Clerk is responsible for publishing and controlling all documentation on assigned programs according to company policies and customer requirements.
MAJOR DUTIES
(1) Prepare and process documents according to Goodrich procedures.
(2) Process documents using Microsoft Word software (this includes entering documents from hand-written drafts, and modifying documents that are submitted electronically).
(3) Submit sketches to Drafting to create or revise, then insert the sketches into documents.
(4) Ensure technical documents are handled in accordance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and marked with appropriate Destination Control Statements.
(5) Maintain configuration control using designated software.
(6) Monitor documents through their signature cycles.
(7) Ensure that data inputs or modifications from responsible personnel are incorporated into the documents.
(8) Determine customer approval rights on documents and drawings.
(9) Prepare submittal letters to submit data (documents and drawings) to customers, and coordinate with the appropriate personnel to get the data submitted.
(10) Respond to program documentation inquiries by project-responsible personnel.
(11) Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, bill of materials lists, parts lists, seller data requirements lists, statements of work, quality assurance specifications, engineering specifications, and other pertinent documentation as needed to process documents.
(12) Ability to create documents using Goodrich templates and data from other sources.
