CH-47F Pilot/Aviation Safety Official: the pilot shall be responsible to fulfill the Aviation Safety Official duties and shall have previously attended the Aviation Safety Officer Course (ASOC). Establish and maintain Aviation Safety program for contract field team supporting various Army MDS aircraft in accordance with AR 95-20.

Duties: Perform aircrew duties as pilot on CH-47F on maintenance test flights. Assist Maintenance Test Pilots as needed. Maintain currency and proficiency in accordance with AR 95-20. Perform duties as Contract Field Team Aviation Safety Official to include, but not limited to the following: Conduct monthly safety meetings encompassing all functional areas. Establish hazard identification and elimination procedures. Establish mishap reporting procedures. Establish procedures for the handling of "privileged" data. Develop a pre-mishap plan which establishes the policies, responsibilities, and actions to be initiated should any aircraft in the custody of the contractor become overdue, or involved in an mishap. Develop procedures for contractor and subcontractor cooperation and participation in mishap investigations conducted by the Government.

Must have completed the Army Safety Officers Course. Candidate shall have an FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot, Instrument rating and the appropriate category endorsements. Candidate shall possess a current, valid ARMY or FAA Class II Medical Certificate. Must have not less than 500 hours first-pilot time and be qualified in mission, type, design,and if appropriate, series. Candidate shall be responsible to fulfill the Aviation Safety Official duties and it is required that he has completed the Army Aviation Safety Officer Course (ASOC).
