Job Description: The Production Supervisor is responsible for the completion of maintenance, modifications, and documentation of the work performed on the company aircraft.
Job Responsibilities: The Production Supervisor is responsible for monitoring employee work levels and work performances, and coaching employees about work related issues and assisting with corrections. The Production Supervisor is also responsible for recommending changes in staffing such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges or disciplinary measures. This position is responsible for investigating accidents or injuries and preparing reports with recommendations to lower risks in the work place by developing and providing training in safety, repair maintenance techniques, operational procedures or equipment use. Other responsibilities include monitoring tool and parts inventory and the condition of the workspace and determining schedules and assignments for work activities based on work priority and availability of the equipment and skill level of personnel. The Production Supervisor will meet with vendors or suppliers to discuss products used in repair work and they will collaborate with management, engineering, quality control, and customers to coordinate work activities to identify and review resource needs for projects. This position will collaborate with management to develop, implement or evaluate maintenance policies and procedures; assist in producing estimates and actual costs of factors such as materials, labor or outside contractors; and oversee job functions of the repair or maintenance operations. The Production Supervisor will ensure that work conforms to the technical data by inspecting, testing, and measuring repair; interpret specifications, blueprints or job orders to construct template and lay out reference points for technicians; and perform other duties as assigned.
