Performs inspection of aircraft components during their assembly, installation and adjustment on an aircraft to insure that the workmanship and materials conform to the aircraft manufacturer’s specifications and maintenance manual procedures.
Monitor systems testing and Avionics / Electrical installations and checkouts. Determines accuracy of installation of components in power plant and hydraulic system to ensure that specified tolerances are met. Logs inspections performed on aircraft.
Duties include Assembly/Modification Inspections and records mgmt; Final and Preflight Inspections, managing Logbooks and Updating/Maintaining Aircraft Records (paper and computerized).
Ensure that all work performed complies with company, customer, and FAR requirements. Track and manage AD’s, SB’s, and CSN’s, applicable to the subject aircraft.
Inspects aircraft parts/components fabrication and installations in accordance with standard procedures, methods, and practices. Reviews and audits technical records that support airworthiness of all aircraft, aircraft parts/components and in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARS).
Will also enforce Housekeeping, Tool Calibration, Part Identification & Storage requirements.
