Responsible for carrying out the maintenance and installation of avionics and electrical systems fitted to an aircraft in accordance with applicable installation drawings and/or manufacturer’s maintenance and installation manuals.
Responsibilities:Perform maintenance on aircraft to the applicable standards of airworthinessDuties may include setting up the job, ordering parts, marking wires, prefabricating wire harnesses, installing and terminating connectors, installing harnesses on the aircraft, performing power and function checks of the systems, carrying out troubleshooting of airframe systems, and maintenance functions and checks on all airframe systemsCarry out modifications and installations as per the installation instructions and certificationsEnsure all products and systems are maintained in accordance with quality standards and report discrepanciesTraining apprentices on the job and teaching correct concepts, proper skills and safetyMake suggestions for improvements regarding tooling, company procedures, etc.International travel may be requiredMay perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:Valid Transport Canada AME category E licenseTransport Canada AMO approval number 82-00 approved ACA-E maintenance release stampMust be self-motivated and have the ability to process complex systems and logically think through problemsAbility to operate various forms of tooling and test equipmentEfficient in computer based manuals and must be able to navigate through vendor data to find necessary informationEfficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and AutoCAD Preferred:Work experience on helicopters being maintained by Heli-One
