The Finance Director, Heli-One will be responsible for leading, directing, coordinating, maintaining, and controlling Heli-One’s financial planning & analysis and accounting & control activities. The role will lead the Business Unit’s financial control team and will be tasked with establishing and implementing strategies, objectives and tactical initiatives and will serve as a resource in operating and financial matters. The Finance Director will be a key advisor to the Managing Team and will liaise with the business and corporate teams. This position ensures compliance with established world-wide legal, regulatory, and company procedures. This position reports directly to the Vice President, Finance.
Responsibilities:Lead Heli-One’s financial and non-financial performance reporting efforts by working with Heli-One Executive Team to define and provide key information for decision makingDevelop and implement Management Information Systems including KPI’s for Heli-OneLead financial management for 3 or 5 year strategic plansMaintenance of Heli-One’s management reporting structures and hierarchiesCoordinate annual budgetLead coordinator of rolling 12 Month forecast for H1Main contact with Corporate FP&A team to define business unit reporting requirementsDevelop and provide financial analysis to support on Heli-One special projects as requiredImplement operational analysis work programs to support Heli-One and CHC Corporate Executive requirementsPotential M&A or product development business casesEnsure the monthly close process is completed within the reporting deadlinesReview the variance analysis on segmental financial statement line itemsReview and preparation of Divisional Reporting Packages for local Heli-One (H1) divisions and coordination of other H1 divisions packagesEnsure compliance with internal accounting policies and GAAPCoordination of quarterly and annual audit CAP listsCoordination of SOX reviews for the financial close processDrive process improvement and be a champion of change managementServe as liaison between Heli-One and corporate accountingStaff development and creating an environment that fosters growth and learning opportunitiesBusiness process improvement initiativesInternational travel may be requiredMay perform other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:Top rated, exceptional performerFinance or Accounting DegreeMBA, CA, CFA or equivalent certification preferred5 - 7+ years post degree experience with increasing levels of responsibility in finance rolesFinance experience within a global environmentA working knowledge of US and Canadian GAAPExperience in successfully managing in a financial environment, with a proven track recordStrong computer skills including Excel and direct experience with managing and maintaining management systemsSelf-motivated and results oriented with a focus on qualityExcellent listening, verbal and written communication, and presentation skillsExcellent collaborative problem solving skills with an ability to implement solutionsAbility to lead in a rapidly evolving and dynamic environmentDemonstrated team player with excellent interpersonal skillsDesire and initiative to take on challenges and deliver resultsA team oriented work approach with the ability to organize team workloadDesire and initiative to take on challenges and deliver results.
