The company is a successful, established and a full-service construction mechanical HVAC contracting organization with specialties in high-tech, biotech, hotels, healthcare and large commercial markets.
The Senior Project Manager has the primary role of providing leadership, planning, organization, control, coordination and direction of construction projects to meet the profit and growth objectives of the organization.
Essential Functions: •Provide resources to act for the company in matters pertaining to the successful progress and completion of all projects according to established schedules and specifications. •Participate in Marketing and sales activities including business development, sales, direct customer relations, estimating, bidding, pricing and project negotiations. •Performs estimating for selected projects as assigned as well as work with the field estimators. Manage awarded projects, prepare submittals, and coordinate the installation with field personnel and other trades on the job. •Direct the utilization of company assets in the execution of projects, submit Change Order Proposals, support Purchasing Agent in selecting subcontractors and submit requisitions for project equipment and material needed to complete the job. •Assist in scheduling and milestones, insuring that all equipment and materials are on the job site when needed, identifying and resolving obstacles related to the project, for closing out the project according to the approved schedule. •Responsible for assisting in the design of the project, verifying that the Scope of Work is adequately represented to facilitate the construction of the project. •Assist and advice the Chief Engineer and personnel assigned to the Engineering Team as related to assigned project activities. Assist and advise the Chief Estimator and personnel assigned to the Estimating Team in the performance of estimating activities. •Review construction documents for the purpose of complete familiarization of the assigned project. •Provide resources and direction to successfully manage large projects to assure profit levels and by completing below the estimated budget. •Work with the Project Foremen and Superintendents in providing a clean, secure and safe work. •The Project Manager reports to the VP of Operations.
