Perform inspection, make adjustment and repair, replace components, and correct any malfunction or deficiency with and without power applied to aircraft; perform maintenance on customer aircraft in accordance with applicable technical data, SOPs and FAA/JAA regulations; access, remove and re-install aircraft components including mechanical and electrical which obstruct their performance of assigned tasks; assist with repairs on off-aircraft components such as switch panels, circuit breaker panels, and junction boxes; perform basic mechanical and electrical removals and installations; assist maintenance technicians in troubleshooting/operation of ground support; document work performed; fabricate parts/wire harness and install per engineering drawings; assist in troubleshooting off-aircraft components such as switch panels, circuit breaker panels, and junction boxes; coordinate with technical representatives, lab, and other personnel in resolving systems or component problems; assist with completing engine runs; comply with all environmental health and safety policies and procedures including but not limited to Safety Manual Section 1225; assist with engine removal and installation; fuel or defuel aircraft as needed; perform other tasks such as cleaning aircraft using approved materials, methods and equipment; assist in creation of work orders and operation details; assist maintenance tasks when avionics is complete. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED: Knowledge of reading, interpreting aircraft blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and manuals; aircraft avionics/other systems; wire coding systems; avionics test equipment; knowledge to perform engine runs; knowledge of manuals necessary to perform job; skill to use basic hand tools, operate ground support equipment, troubleshoot engine systems, and to measure using a variety of basic and precision measuring devices relating to job function.
