| Job Desc: |
This position is responsible for the procurement of parts and materials related to the support of aircraft maintenance operations. Buyer will issue purchase orders, research part numbers in order to ensure accuracy of ordering, run daily reports and update PAQ shortage items with supplier information. Will maintain tracking of customer approvals for items exceeding customer dollar thresholds and review upcoming work pre-draw packages. Expedites past due orders and coordinates payments to suppliers. Will determine qualified suppliers, negotiate pricing, terms and delivery schedules and compliance with terms and conditions. Must maintain a high level of productivity in a fast paced environment as well as handle other complex procurements, such as aircraft services, purchase/exchange contracts for Rotables, etc. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. This individual needs the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
