| Job Desc: |
This position is for a senior level executive (COO, CEO, President) with aviation industry experience (mandatory for consideration) for an aircraft MRO center (maintenance, repair and overhaul) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Job Purpose: Overall operational responsibility for the Business Development activities and provision of management oversight and direction for the development of high quality, profitable and integrated projects. Plays a major role in the development of the company’s short and long-term strategic / investment plan.
Principal Responsibilities: Conducts business / investment strategy and planning as a member of the Executive Team, as well as for the Operational Units. Provides guidance, coaching and oversight to Operational Unit Directors in regards to implementing and maintaining robust / quality processes and systems. Oversees the smooth and efficient management of the Company’s projects, ensuring that rigorous controls and due diligence standards are adhered to, in order to achieve risk managed and profitable projects. Acts as the conduit between individual Operational Units in order to ensure effective communication and integration of information and synergy of strategy. Contributes to the sustainability of the organization by creating the environment / opportunities for effective Succession Management; ensures Operational Unit staff are continuously developed and motivated by providing them with exposure to new learning opportunities. Ensures requisite resources (expertise, manpower, and technology) are made available to Operational Units. Develops and maintains effective relationships with key partners, service providers, stakeholders and the wider community regionally and internationally in order to facilitate the delivery of high quality projects and acquisitions.
Key Performance Indicators: Achieving profitability according to targets. Ensuring regulatory compliance. Clear definition of strategy and goals for the Operational Units. Level of morale, motivation and development among staff.

| Requirements: |
Qualification(s)Required: Proven track record in sr. executive level leadership and business development for an aviation company. Bachelor degree in a business related discipline such as Finance or Economics preferably holding further relevant qualifications at Masters Level. Knowledge and understanding of legal provision, socio-economic / industry trends and their impact on the organization. Advanced communication, writing and negotiation skills. High level of analytical and conceptual skills. Leadership qualities. Excellent people management and presentation skills. Position Competencies Required: Entrepreneurial orientation, implementing policies, strategic thinking, building team environment, encouraging skills development.
