The Position: Heli-One, a division of CHC Helicopter has an opportunity for a Technical Repair Writer within its‘ Engine Shop. This newly created role will be required to take complex engineering data, interpret its requirements and subsequently present that information in an approved and easily understood format that will meet and exceed all quality and safety requirements. Responsibilities: -Take OEM and local engineering repairs and generating relevant work specifications for Machining, Welding, Plasma Spray , NDT and Paint activities -Develop, produce and update Built Sheets for Engine and Component Repairs and overhauls -Review Bulletins and Modifications to establish impact on work specifications and build sheets -Develop and maintain Operating Procedures for Engines and Component Business The Benefits CHC‘s employees are rewarded for their dedication and skill. Position Qualifications & Experience: Strong engineering background in Aerospace/manufacturing Capable of interpreting technical manuals, instructions and drawings Able to combine strong writing skills and information design to produce technical documentation that is clear, succinct, relevant and usable for the target audience Good understanding of MS Office package: Word, Excel, PowerPoint An effective communicator, both verbal and in all aspects of written work Manage multiple assignments in a fast paced, demanding environment A strong team player, both on projects and within the Technical Communications Group |
