The Position Heli-One is a division of CHC Helicopter. The Supply Chain position, Component Planner, will report to the Manager, Aircraft Programs and is responsible for maintaining planned inventory levels for a specific group of components and for managing the component pool to ensure components are available to be installed on Aircrafts to meet scheduled and unscheduled demand. This position will be accountable for actions required to ensure service levels are met, quality is maintained and costs are within budget. The successful candidate will serve as a robust business partner in reducing costs. Position Qualifications & Experience: Required: • A University Degree or equivalent education, training and experience • A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience • Strong technical and analytical skills • Successful record of experience in a supply chain/logistics environment • Previous scheduling experience • Self motivated and results oriented with a focus on quality • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills • Excellent collaborative problem solving skills • Ability to work in a rapidly evolving and dynamic environment • Ability to multi-task and manage a heavy workload • Ability to negotiate, such as turnaround times/discounts • Good understanding of financial implications of asset management • Demonstrated team player with excellent interpersonal skills Desirable: • Aviation experience • Training/Experience in Continuous Improvement (Lean, Six Sigma) • Supply Chain/Logistics accreditation (CPP, CPSM, CPIM, CSCP) The Benefits CHC‘s employees are rewarded for their dedication and skill. Responsibilities: Demand Planning• Prepare plans for component demand and associated maintenance activities in accordance with aircraft utilization data submitted by customers• Prepare ongoing forecast of scheduled and unscheduled component demand• In co-operation with the Customer Service team, ensure staggering of major components utilization as needed to level and balance demand against capacity• Provide demand forecasts to Master Scheduler• Re-estimate scrap rates on a quarterly basisRepair Order Process Management• Create core unit return delivery schedule (Supplier or workshop arrival plan)• Monitor return of unserviceable components from customers to repair facilities• Review and approve repair quotes• Ensure compliance to contract terms • Enforce new product and repair warranty• Create/approve work authorization documents to internal and external suppliers• Monitor and expedite overdue deliveries from suppliers and internal workshopsStock/Order Fulfillment• Ensure supply of serviceable components to customers in accordance with contracts and orders• Maintain target stock levels• Allocate components for delivery (release distribution order, DO, and create DO for return core)• Create a delivery plan for serviceable units from workshops, MRO suppliers and purchase additional/replacement pool components• Monitor and expedite overdue deliveries to customersGeneral• Participate in Supplier selection contract negotiations• Participate in Supplier performance management• Identify components with poor reliability/high cost and interface with Supply Chain to develop and implement solutions• Travel, as required• Other assignments, tasks and duties, as required |
