The Position Heli-One is a division of CHC Helicopter. The Supply Chain position, Purchaser, will report to the Supervisor, Purchasing and ensure the availability of selected groups of aircraft consumable parts in accordance with maintenance requirements while minimizing overall inventory. The successful candidate will serve as a robust business partner in reducing costs. Required: • A university Degree in Management/Logistics or equivalent education, training and experience • Ability to interpret and apply discount structure per framework agreements • Strong computer skills including Excel and experience with inventory management systems • Self-motivated and results oriented with a focus on quality • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills • Excellent collaborative problem solving skills with an ability to implement solutions • Ability to multi-task in a rapidly evolving and dynamic environment • Demonstrated team player with excellent interpersonal skills Desirable: • Aviation work experience • Training/Experience in Continuous Improvement (Lean, Six Sigma) • Supply Chain/Logistics accreditation (CPP, CPSM, CPIM, CSCP) • 2-5 years of relevant and successful experience in logistics/procurement The Benefits CHC’s employees are rewarded for their dedication and skill. | Requirements: | Responsibilities:• Monitor queue of replenishment signals for defined vendors and groups of parts and execute Purchase Orders, as required, to replenish stock in Central Warehouse• Monitor queue of Customer Requisitions for defined groups of parts and execute Purchase Orders, as required, to satisfy requests• Review all Requisitions to assure proper authorization by requestor and proper accounting information to conform with contractual obligations to customers of Heli-One• Manage Purchase Orders from creation to delivery of material with full responsibility for identifying and resolving defects throughout process: Order Acceptance, Delivery Commitment, and Delivery of conforming product• Monitor back ordered Customer Requests and take appropriate action to ensure customer satisfaction• Liaise with Customer Account organization to report anticipated or current stock shortages that may affect operations• Monitor overdue orders with Suppliers and expedite deliveries as required to meet critical needs • Monitor and resolve discrepancies in certification documentation discovered upon receipt• Monitor and resolve price discrepancies upon receipt of invoice• Escalate Heli-One requirements within Supplier’s Organization, as needed, to ensure expectations are met• Research and identify lower cost alternate sources of supply • Assist the Aircraft Program Team, when required• Travel, as required• Other assignments, tasks and duties, as required | ||
