Looking for qualified candidates to design, develop, and implement test methods and test stands for testing of actuation systems and gear boxes per customer requirements.
Develop and create test procedures for the completion of qualification and production test. Plan and arrange schedules and equipment required for testing and evaluation of test specimen.
The primary product area is aircraft accessory gearing, actuation, and helicopter transmissions and drive systems, as well as other geared systems applications in the marine and industrial areas. The successful applicant will have strong people skills and leadership qualities, and be capable of leading a test team in the creation of hardware designs that meet and exceed customer expectations as well as meeting challenging manufacturability and cost goals. This person must be able to work effectively in a team environment and accept the role as mentor and leader of less experienced test personnel within the team. Proven technical innovation and effective project management skills are essential. Reuirements: BSME or equivalent with 10 to 20 years experience in the aircraft mechanical component/systems test fields. Experience in the direct design of test stands, rotating machinery, qualification testing, experience with computer-based engineering analysis tools and CAD systems are a must. PRO/E modeling experience is required. Contract to hire position.
