The Position: Heli-One, a division of CHC Helicopter is looking for a Manager, Aircraft Programs. Reporting to the Director, Inventory Management, the Manager, Aircraft Programs will deliver complete logistics support under Power by the Hour contracts and component exchange contracts for defined aircraft types. This position is also accountable for meeting agreed service and quality levels within these product groups as well as overall component inventory levels to support the program. This position retains responsibility for meeting overall cost and Direct Maintenance Cost (DMC) budgets. The successful candidate will serve as a robust business partner in reducing costs.
Responsibilities: Cost Management
In co-operation with Direct Maintenance Costs (DMC) analysts, maintain current and expected DMC figures including reporting and monitoring Develop annual budget Monitor the DMC for the assigned aircraft and manage continuous activities to reduce the DMC through reliability programs, product improvements, and alternative/PMA sourcing Analyze monthly budget variances, develop performance improvement initiatives and communicate results to Senior leaders Liaise with the Purchasing in Suppler selection process and ensure sourcing solutions meet cost, quality and service objectives Create/approve work authorization documents to internal and external suppliers Re-estimate scrap rate on a quarterly basis Provide cost figures to support Sales and Tender group Inventory Management Ensure the Component management group holds adequate spares to ensure profitability and service Define required notable component pool size when there is a budget or contract change Define required consumables consignment and service levels, as required, when there is a budget or contract change Oversee the timely movement of serviceable and unserviceable spare components Plan – Deliver Liaise with Customer Service to understand delivery conditions of customer agreements Ensure timely processing of customer orders, exchanges and updated feedback on delivery status to Customer Service Forecast scheduled and un-scheduled component requirements weekly and medium term planning on a quarterly basis Ensure accurate forecasts are provided to master-scheduling Ensure the creation of delivery plan for serviceable units from Business Unit (BU), MRO suppliers and expediting, as required Ensure the creation of core unit return delivery schedule / BU arrival plan weekly Purchase additional/replacement pool components General Monitor Key Performance Indicators and drive effective problem solving to eliminate abnormalities in areas of cost, quality and delivery Lead team of component planners to ensure all program obligations are met Frequent interaction with Suppliers to ensure they meet Heli-One support obligations The Program Manager subcontracts internally the following services to support delivery commitments: Parts sourcing/purchasing and inventory services from Inventory management and Sourcing Component pool calculations from Inventory Strategy DMC calculations and monitoring reports from DMC analyst Reliability reports, analysis and recommendations from Reliability Analyst Innovation support and recommendations for PMA utilization from the Technical Support group Other assignments, tasks and duties, as required Travel, as required

Position Qualifications & Experience: Required:A University Degree or equivalent education, training and experience A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience Supply chain/logics experience within a global environment Experience successfully managing a team in a supply chain/logistics environment, with a proven track record Ability to be a hands-on manager Strong technical and analytical skills Self motivated and results oriented with a focus on quality Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills Excellent collaborative problem solving skills with an ability to envision a system wide solution Ability to manage in a rapidly evolving and dynamic environment Demonstrated team player with excellent interpersonal skills Desirable:Aviation experience Training/Experience in Continuous Improvement (Lean, Six Sigma) Supply Chain/Logistics accreditation (CPP, CPSM, CPIM, CSCP) |
