JOB SUMMARY:
Oversee the performance of all maintenance work packages for assigned aircraft and ensure adherence to planned vs. actual hours and Repair Station Manual.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Typically 6 years experience in performing aircraft heavy/line maintenance (prefer experience with Challenger and Global aircraft), which must include 3 years of supervisory experience.
- A&P License
- Working knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, for example, part 91, 121, 135, and 145
- Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, all levels of management team, and other departments
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:PRINCIPAL DUTIES (Essential Functions): - Performed with minimal supervision- Adhere to General Work Requirements
- Perform supervisory responsibilities for assigned employees and area(s), for example, PMP and 30/60 day reviews, opportunities for professional development and training, personnel decisions concerning hire, fire, disciplinary issues, and salary adjustments, and employee schedules and leave
- Supervise the performance of maintenance and service work packages for assigned aircraft
- Manage labor hours per work package to minimize actual hours exceeding planned hours
- Communicate to customers about work package on a regular basis.
- Responsible for overseeing large and complex aircraft maintenance projects, for example, multiple aircraft, large volume of discrepancies, and diversity of workscope (e.g., structures, avionics, electrical, interior, engineering, and paint)
- Oversee mobile repair parties (MRP) including, for example, coordination of tooling and parts, scheduling personnel, and aircraft return-to-service
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:- Working knowledge of SAP maintenance transactions
- Working knowledge of Repair Station Manual and procedures
- Working knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety rules and regulations as they apply to workplace safety and environmental aspects of aircraft maintenance operations
- Working knowledge of aircraft electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, components, and parts and applicable aircraft maintenance procedures
- Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance inspection programs for business jet aircraft
- Working knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, for example, part 91, 121, 135, and 145
- Planning and organizational skills necessary to plan, prioritize, and coordinate workload of assigned employees within a multiple project setting
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, project, email, and web-based applications
