Job Desc:
 I.                    Position Summary:
   
   The Lead Electrical Engineer is responsible for all aspects of design, documentation, and integration of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. The Engineer primarily supports VIP Interior Completion Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) programs for Transport Category Aircraft as well as engineering support to Comlux MRO activities under our Aviation Services group. The Lead will be responsible for subordinate design engineers and managing related outsourcing of electrical design services as well as developing organizational standards, methods and processes.

II.                  Essential Functions:
   
   ·                     Provides electrical design engineering drawings for STC Interior Completion projects for a variety of transport category airframes. Generates directly engineering installation and fabrication drawings.
   ·                     Interfaces with structural, mechanical systems, interior, avionics and electrical design engineers to ensure certifiable designs in support of Interior Modification STCs for Large Transport category Aircraft (14 CFR/EASA Part 25).
   ·                     Develops and supports compliance requirements for certification projects.
   ·                     Supports design needs related to the Maintenance business enterprise for 14 CFR Part 23 executive aircraft.
   ·                     Leads subordinate design engineers.
   ·                     Generates and maintains execution plans, schedules and supporting budgets for projects.
   ·                     Provides and/or coordinates the technical interface to key Outside Service Vendors (OSV).
   ·                     Contributes to and develops Internal Operating Procedures (IOP)




Requirements:
 B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and 7 years of directly related experience or 15 years directly related experience.
•   Minimum of five (5 )years experience in the aircraft completions industry working with transport category aircraft and the associated Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification of all associated aircraft electrical installation designs, including but not limited to Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) work, substantiating analysis and report development, test plans and test report authoring and review.
•   Minimum of five (5) years experience working with aircraft Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) documentation including repair development and system integration, working with appropriate FAA Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs), and an understanding of aircraft electrical systems required.
•   Must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally
•   Valid Passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
•   Regular attendance is required
•   Must have a positive attitude
•   Must be well groomed and maintain a professional appearance
•   Must be legally authorized to work in the country in which the position is located
•   Must Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a record that meets our company’s insurance standards
•   Must pass 10 year background check and drug test
•   Basic knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) governing aircraft certification
•   Strong understanding of aircraft electrical installations and governing regulations
•   Ability to interpret design drawings of various aircraft modifications
•   Ability to communicate technical issues in an assertive and tactful manner.
•   Ability to document design and installation clearly and concisely.
•   Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with co-workers, customers, production work crews, and quality assurance organizations to resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions.
•   Ability to prioritize and delegate workload.
•   Proficient with Microsoft Word, excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
•   Proficient with AutoCAD version 2007 or later.
•   Knowledge of OEM Documentation, including but not limited to Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPC), Wiring Diagram Manuals (WDM), and Structural Repair Manuals (SRM)
•   Must have the ability to interact with a wide range of customer groups, both internal and external
•   Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
•   Ability to work in a team environment.
•   Ability to work with minimal direction.
•   Results oriented.
•   Ability to work in a team environment
