OCONUS Safety Manager Job Location: Afghanistan
Job Description Summary:
The OCONUS Safety Manager is primarily responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating, aviation, ground and environmental safety programs, to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, deaths and financial losses to include but not limited to:
•Oversee, administer, and assist all departments in safety, hazard analysis, and liability assessment. •Ensure the organization complies with safety, health and environmental regulations.
•Administer policies and procedures for maintaining physical security of company assets.
•Evaluate, develop, implement and manage programs, policies and procedures designed to reduce and eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, and financial losses.
•Perform audits, safety meetings, and inspections on a daily basis, while in country.
•Conduct hazard analysis to proactively identify and address conditions which may lead to accidents, injuries and or financial losses.
•Interact with senior and junior leadership within the organization structure to identify issues, develop solutions and continually maintain clear lines of communication regarding all issues.
•Maintain hazardous waste program and sites.
•Ensure that PAW Safety Program is kept in compliance and that all requirements are met on a timely basis.
•Manage all safety & security processes and policies.
•Execute and maintain fully compliant company policies and procedures and reporting requirements. •Perform travel as required to support global operations and promote interoperability of safety and security functions.
•Perform other duties as assigned or required.

| Requirements: |
Required Education/Experience:
•Bachelor‘s degree in Management, Occupational Safety, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university preferred.
•Two (2) years experience as an aviation safety supervisor or manager required.
•Completion of the FAA, NTSB or a U.S. military, aircraft accident investigation course required.
•Completion of an Aviation Safety Course conducted by one of the branches of the armed forces or the University of Southern California (USC) preferred.
•Formal training in OSHA, EPA, and hazardous material/waste storage, handling and disposal procedures preferred.
•Current aviator preferred.
•Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
