| Job Desc: |
Avionics mechanics to work in a backshop. Work according to technical data, perform & repair as well as overhaul work on various aircraft components; air-conditioned location; relaxed, yet stimulating work environment; work is performed at a producton type repair shop (not an airport). Work according to technical data, ensure work is completed in accordance with Turn Around Time requirements; participate in shop & facility continuous improvement activities and initiatives; work on landing gear, flight controls, generators, cargo-handling, actuation components, hydraulic actuators, de-icing components, etc.; perform shop audits as scheduled; perform cleaning & maintenance as posted or required; demonstrate awareness and understanding of the EHS policy and management system, the importance of conforming with EHS policies and procedures, and consequences of failing to comply with EHS policies and procedures; demonstrate knowledge of EHS risks and impacts or work activities and the benefits of improving EHS performance; acquire necessary EHS competencies in accordance with EHS-MS002, EHS Compentencies & Training policy/procedure; work with technical data.

| Requirements: |
Must have a minimum of HS Diploma (OR GED). A minimum of 2 years work experience in a simular field; Mechanical/electrical background required; Aerospace Experience preferreed; Experience with calibration equipment, blueprints, schematics and precision measuring equipment preferred; past aerospace industry experience preferred; strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude; Ability to read, understand and interpret Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM) and other repair manuals and technical data; Ability to learn on the job; Ability to work multiple shifts; Basic computer skills in MS Word/Excel; Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.; troubleshooting skills; Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. |
