| Job Desc: |
Services, repairs and overhauls aircraft to ensure airworthiness. Performs scheduled and unscheduled organizational level maintenance on AV-8B aircraft communications, navigation, radar, instrument systems, electrical/power distribution and integrated weapons delivery systems, to include corrosion control, prevention and treatment. Utilizes aircraft MRCs, publications/wiring schematics and blueprints while performing maintenance. Applies comprehensive technical knowledge and experience to solve repair problems and correct corrosion deficiencies. Provides technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to employees in the Electronic Technician classification. May be required to become certified as Collateral Duty Inspector in accordance with CNAFINST 4790.2A guidelines. | Requirements: |
Marine Corps A school or T/M/S specific MOS previously held for this skill rating. Must have three years prior experience performing Organizational level maintenance on AV-8B avionics systems, components and related components. Must be experienced in working with USN/USMC technical publications. Must have experience in corrosion detection, treatment and prevention. Candidate must be capable of obtaining / maintaining a clearance level of Secret. Must possess the ability to work independently, without technical guidance. Must possess knowledge of the learning process and how to transfer technical knowledge to less qualified personnel, including the ability to express thought in both oral and written communications. |
