The Position:
Heli-One, a division of CHC is looking for Component Tester(s).
The Component Tester will carry out a range of tests to support the overhaul and repair of S76 / S61 / S92 / AW139 component types. The Component Tester must have experience in component testing. Engine testing experience will be considered.
Responsibilities: • Utilize and understand the instructions of the applicable approved manual used to carry out the tasks assigned • Perform repair or overhaul tasks pertaining to the Component types being worked on • Maintain required levels of productivity when carrying out repair and overhaul activities • Able to communicate effectively • Able to use all equipment safely • If Technician is certified as Stage Inspector (SCA Level II), will also be performing stage inspections during Component Repair/Overhaul, and certifying completion of specific steps called out for in Build sheets, work specifications, etc. • If Technician is certified as Final Inspector (SCA Level III), will also (1) perform final inspection on components as required prior to final assembly, (2) certify parts that have been repaired or overhauled, (3) scrap and approve scrapping of parts, (4) certify components following Repair/Overhaul etc for return to service, and (5) ensure all related Release Documentation is correct and complete. • Help maintain all shop tools and equipment in a serviceable state • Assist in the instruction of apprentices • International travel may be required • May perform other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications & Experience: Essential: • Completion of initial/update training • Completion of applicable training at a recognized vocational school • Self motivated and results oriented with a focus on quality • Ability to make excellent decisions and set appropriate priorities • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication • Excellent collaborative problem solving skills • Ability to work in a rapidly evolving and dynamic environment • Demonstrated team player with excellent interpersonal skills • Must be willing to accommodate flexible working schedules, including shifts and overtime • The component Tester must have experience in component testing. Engine testing experience will be considered. Desirable: • Minimum 1 years experience in the assembly, overhaul and repair of Components (alternative experience will be considered if relevant). • OEM or AMO accredited training specific to the above Component models.
