Position Description:
Reports to the AGF (Organizational Maintenance) management team. Prepares aircraft for maintenance and flight operations, to include ensuring proper servicing, relocation and configuration. Configures aircraft as required to enable completion of specialist inspection and associated maintenance requirements. Performs preflight, thru flight and HSC inspections as specified in applicable Inspection Work Cards on C-130 aircraft. Performs on-aircraft engine runs to determine engine performance (if qualified). Returns aircraft to service, to include necessary servicing and preparation of aircraft for flight. Responsible for conducting Customer training, to include OJT, and maintenance of training records for RSAF personnel. Performs other related duties as directed.
Competencies:
- Completion of a basic C-130 Aircraft General technical course is mandatory.
- Completion of high school or equivalent is mandatory.
- Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical principles that apply to aircraft maintenance is mandatory.
- Must be able to speak, read, comprehend and write English clearly and distinctly. Must be qualified and capable of providing necessary job training to the Customer.
- Must have a broad background in C-130 systems operations and be proficient in inspecting, maintaining, and servicing aircraft. Must have working knowledge of aircraft maintenance forms, records and reports to meet the job standards prescribed by the RSAF.
Typical Education / Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years experience on the C-130 aircraft is mandatory.
