Heli-One, the MRO division of CHC, is looking for a Director, Base Maintenance to join our leadership team in Colorado. This position is responsible for leading, training, and equipping employees and the organization in supporting profitable aerospace equipment sustainment and operations.
Responsibilities:
Direct maintenance and modification of aircraft and associated equipment
Develop and manage budgets for Base Maintenance
Direct aircraft maintenance programs and resources
Provide leadership for the Base Maintenance organization
Ensure the availability of qualified personnel to carry out the duties of the department
Supervise staff including performance reviews, establishing goals, pay/reward decisions, hiring/firing and employee discipline
Direct aircraft maintenance and manage related material programs through interface with Supply Chain to optimize the number of spares needed to service both CHC and third party customers
Look for opportunities to add to the Base Maintenance business and assesses organizational capability; advise senior leadership of Return on Investment for business opportunities
Perform analysis of historical and future maintenance activity and capacity
Ensure adherence to technical data, policy, procedures, quality and safe maintenance practices
Analyze aircraft maintenance indicators to identify trends and initiate corrective actions
Assess the environment for suitable and best practice methods and tools
Maintain an organization with the specialized competencies and capabilities required to perform its responsibilities through training and development
International travel may be required
May perform other duties as assigned

| Requirements: |
A University Degree or equivalent education, training and experienceA minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in aviationBase Maintenance management experience within a global environmentExperience in successful leading and managing in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track recordAbility to think strategically and at the same time be a hands-on managerSelf motivated and results oriented with a focus on safety and qualityExcellent listening, verbal, and written communication and presentation skillsExcellent collaborative problem solving skills with an ability to envision a system wide solutionAbility to lead in a rapidly evolving and dynamic environmentDemonstrated team player with excellent interpersonal skills
