| Job Desc: |
Aero Contractors has a position available for an Aviation Structural Engineering Technician. This individual will be responsible for:- Design, development, and implementation of structural components, installations, and aircraft modifications in support of customer requirements.
- Recommend alterations to improve the quality of product development, design, and/or procedures.
- Read/interpret blue prints for the building of components for aircraft applications using a variety of sheet metal materials; bending and shaping metal to construct customized aircraft solutions.
- Utilize CAD or modeling software to create concept and/or final installation drawings.
- Create, manage, and organize project data.
- Work with vendors to research and acquire new parts or processes
- Communicate design progress and issues with management, vendors, and/or customers during course project
Requirements- High Scholl Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 to 3 years related sheet metal, structural design, and assembly experience.
- FAA Airframe
- Experience using CAD or 3D modeling software
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat Professional
- Operate rivet guns, brake, shear, Bridgeport, other power tools, and machines associated with sheet metal constructions or repair.
Preferred:- College or technical school degree in related field
- Extensive experience or training in CAD or 3D modeling software
- Extensive experience using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Professional
- FAA Power Plant License
- Experience or training on the construction and repair of composite materials.
- Experience using hand calculations for structural analysis in support of FAA certification documentation.
- Must be willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally
- US Citizenship,
