| Job Desc: |
Aero Contractors has a position available for an Aircraft Mission Systems Operator Supervisor. This individual will be responsible for acting as an airborne crew member operating an EO/IR sensor package that includes the associated equipment; mission management software, video storage devices, downlink systems and communications equipment. Perform preventive maintenance checks, troubleshoot faults, and coordinate maintenance for Mission System Equipment. Develop and maintain a training program for new Mission Systems Operators. Coordinate and act as a training instructor on the operation and maintenance of Mission Systems Equipment. Create or procure training and operations publications for Mission Systems. Evaluate equipment systems, personnel, and procedures to determine and recommend improvements or alterations.

| Requirements: |
- High School Diploma or equivalen and 6 years experience, and/or military training in related field.
- Experience must include the operation and maintenance of EO/IR equipment, mission planning/moving map software, and line of sight video downlink equipment FCC License.
- Knowledge of computer systems interface and common software tools such as; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat. Must have a working knowledge of Falcon View or other imagery programs.
Preferred requirements:
- College or technical school degree in related field.
- Highly proficient using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- Highly skilled in computer interface and networking.
- Documented factory operation and maintenance training on the L3 Wescam MX15 or FLIR STAR SAFIRE cameras.
- Instructor qualification with Sensor Operations is highly desired.
- Mission planning and imagery analyst experience are highly favorable.
- Experience using video editing or processing software.
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally for up to 6 months at 45 to 60 day intervals. Able to lift up to 50lbs occasionally,capable of performing duties of an in-flight crew member. US Citizenship required. Applicants must successfully complete a lengthy security screening process. Willing to relocate to the Smithfield, NC area. |
