| Job Desc: |
IMMEDIATE NEED for a Senior Engineer in the Material and Process Engineering Dept. for an aerospace manufacturing concern.
Applies extensive knowledge of principles, theories, concepts and industry practices and standards in materials and process engineering to evaluate technical and economic factors and recommend engineering and manufacturing actions for attainment of design objectives of processes or products in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with aerospace composite materials and process applications required.
Knowledge and experience with automated composite fabrication technologies and methods preferred.
Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems requiring independent judgment and ingenuity to modify procedures and approaches related to applications of materials, equipment or processes in the manufacturing, rework and repair of aerospace products.
Uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on chemicals, materials, and processes.
Plans and implements laboratory operations to develop material and fabrication procedures for new materials to fulfill product cost and performance standards.
Directs and exercises control over operational, functional, and performance phases of tests. Resolves testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data and data interpretation.
Reviews and monitors the manufacturing process to control variables in the process such as temperature, laminations, density, viscosity, pressure and other like variables. Analyzes and interprets data and prepares technical reports for use by engineering and management personnel.

| Requirements: |
Technical Bachelor level degree from four-year college or university and six (6) plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience may be substituted for the formal education and training requirements in this section at the discretion of management.
Professional Engineer Certificate preferred.
