| Job Desc: |
IMMEDIATE NEED for a Senior Stress Engineer for an aerospace manufacturing concern.
Applies extensive knowledge of principles, theories and concepts and industry practices and standards related to the design, development, testing, manufacturing and certification of aircraft structures, component parts and related component systems and subsystems for operational aircraft.
Develops solutions to a variety of complex or unusual problems or assignments requiring independent judgment and ingenuity. Originates and/or modifies engineering protocols related to the design and development of aircraft structures, power plant component parts, mechanical and electrical systems and subsystems for commercial, military, executive, general aviation, or special purpose applications on operational aircraft.
Conducts analytical studies on engineering proposals to develop design for products. Analyzes research data and proposed product specifications to determine feasibility of product proposal. Confers with research personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develops design.
Designs and develops structural, power plant and other operational and structural components that are use in operating aircraft. This includes producing or computer aided drawings and engineering reports.
Designs and develops analytical programs concerned with ground or flight testing, or development of acoustic, thermodynamic, or propulsion systems.
Tests models, prototypes, subassemblies, or production items to study and evaluate operational characteristics and effects of stress imposed during actual or simulated operational conditions.

| Requirements: |
Must demonstrate extensive experience with NASTRAN/PATRAN.
Previous experience with aerospace composite materials required.
Will be responsible for the mentoring and coaching of less experienced staff.
Must be able and willing to work split shifts, either in plant or from home, to interface with international staff members.
Experience with developing repairs for manufacturing discrepancies is preferred.
Must demonstrate a record of solving design issues in increasing complex structure.
Must work well in a matrix organization involving multiple projects and objectives.
Technical Bachelor level degree in Engineering or the sciences or equivalent and six (6) plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience may be substituted for the formal education and training requirements in this section at the discretion of management.
