Job Desc: JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the overall operation of the Structures Shop and provides direction, planning and the laying out of the details of inspections and other work to be performed. Oversees the paper work process, work orders, inspection forms and discrepancy forms. Provides oversight on ordering parts and maintaining the inventory of spare parts. Trains supervisors and employees on their assigned tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A&P Certificate preferred
  • Five years experience in structural repair preferred

    DUTIES
    • Responsible for the Structures shop
    • Plans maintenance and special projects as required.
    • Provides oversight on the ordering, maintaining and inventory of spare parts.
    • Oversees supervisors and personnel for unscheduled and scheduled maintenance.
    • Plans and organizes supervisors, personnel and equipment for jobs in the field.
    • Works with outside sources for repairs
    • Reviews drawings to ensure conformity of work.
    • Schedules and supervises the maintenance of facilities.


    Management of Personnel   
    • Provides guidance and/or instruction to supervisors, leads, and department personnel.
    • Establishes obtainable goals for all reporting employees and develops and implements a plan of action for achieving these goals.
    • Reviews and/or writes performance appraisals, and conducts a personal meeting to discuss yearly appraisal results.
