Job Desc: This position assists the Quality Assurance Manager in directing the day-to-day work activities of Quality Assurance to help meet the schedules and goals of the Quality Assurance Department. He/she is also responsible to the Quality Assurance Manager
Assists the Safety Coordinator in performing administrative and clerical duties pertaining to safety functions, in direct support of the Quality Manager Organizes and/or coordinates work efficiently and appropriately sets priorities
Responsible for and ensures strict adherence to all Department of Defense Publications, Contract Requirements, Manufacturer’s Directives, Company Policies and Procedures, Program Quality Assurance Manual and the Industrial/Aviation Ground Safety affecting quality and personnel/equipment safety issues.
Responsible for assisting in the training, leadership and management of personnel assigned to the Quality Assurance Division. Reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES FOR QUALITY ASSURANCE:

Assists in planning, coordinate and direct the activities of the Quality Assurance Department to ensure all service and support provided meet required quality standards.
Keep the Quality Assurance Manager, informed of deficiencies discovered that impact quality and/or safety.
Provide a systematic and efficient method of gathering, analyzing and maintaining information on maintenance and material defects that impact the Aircraft Maintenance Program.
Ensure all Maintenance Instructions, Work Instructions; Maintenance Checklists, etc. are complete and current prior to distribution.
Review all NAMDRP reporting requirements to ensure they are accurate, clear, concise and comprehensive prior to release.
Maintain liaison and satisfactory working relationship with CNATRA , DCMA and other Government personnel.
Monitor the Hazardous Material/Hazardous Waste Procedures.
Evaluate existing methods, procedures, and/or systems for potential improvements and cost effectiveness.
Promote and develop the Company Quality Management Philosophy within the Quality Assurance Department and other Site Departments.
Promote and develop the Company/Site Program throughout the site.
Conduct investigations into customer complaints relating to contractual deficiencies within the Program and recommend corrective actions.
Assist with weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting requirements to the Government and Site Manager.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SAFETY:

Conducts Safety Audits and Inspections, and acts as point of contact for Work Center Safety Representatives and Supervisors.
Conducts Safety Orientation training. Coordinates annual regulatory safety training and audiometric testing with the Work Center Supervisors, and maintains the Safety Training Data Base.
Coordinates facilities issues with Public Works and government oversight. This includes submission and monitoring of trouble calls and work requests; and interface with Public Works employees.
Performs Hazard Risk Analysis and Job Hazard Assessments, and coordinates PPE training and certification with the Work Center Supervisors.
Process, screen, and file completed safety training and communications documentation.
Prepares computer generated correspondence and reports.
Interacts with military and company personnel in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.
Requirements: Extensive working knowledge of COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790 concepts and policies, NAVAL aircraft maintenance practices and flight operations gained through broad management experience in the oversight and management of aviation programs.Must possess the aptitude to accurately navigate, interpret, and apply instructions, directives, regulations, and Safety Program policies and procedures. Hands-on experience with desktop computer to perform word processing and data entry is required. The ability to read, write, understand, and communicate the English language in order to follow and administer verbal and written instruction is also required. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals, to include read, decipher and communicate findings of wiring diagrams schematics and complex aircraft regulatory documents.Communicate accurately and concisely on technical matters, both orally and in writing, to include speaking effectively before groups of customers and employees of the organization.The necessary leadership and management skills to direct Quality Assurance personnel to comply with established policies, procedures, and operations.Knowledge of contractual programs, company organization, policies and procedures.Participate in and support continuous improvement activities and systems.
