The Vice President of Commercial Sales is responsible for the overall coordination, the functional management and leadership of all of the sales activities of the business. The position reports directly to the President.


The VP of Commercial Sales is responsible for the establishment of both annual and monthly sales objectives in coordination with the Company’s business plan.


Is responsible for providing an annual sales plan, as well as a business plan, and providing quarterly updates, revisions and modifications to the Plan.


Is responsible for coordinating the specific objectives of the Sales Plan with all of the functional departments of the company and, most specifically with the Sales Department and Finance/Accounting Department.


The VP of Commercial Sales, in coordination with the President, establishes both market and target customer strategies for the Company.


This position is responsible for the successful management of the needs of the Company’s customers in order to meet the objectives of the company’s overall business plans and strategies.


Manages all of the outside and inside sales functions of the Company’s facilities. This position specifically is responsible for outside sales, inside sales, and all customer support functions of the business.


Defines and manages the monthly and annual sales objectives for all of the sales personnel.


The VP of Commercial Sales, in coordination with the President, the Human Resource Department and the Finance Department, establishes compensation plans for all sales personnel including salary structures, commission plans, sales contest and bonus plans.


Is expected to be knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies.

Requirements: Skills:
  • Has experience in managing both outside and inside sales personnel
  • Has been a VP or Director of Sales Manager in the aircraft parts sales and brokering industry
  • Has developed and executed tactical sales plans including quotas and account objectives
  • Has managed phone sales
  • Is highly organized and has very effective time management skills
  • Is highly computer literate
  • Has strong negotiating skills and capacity
  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills as well as equally strong listening skills
  • Has an established customer base of airlines, maintenance facilities, suppliers and end users.
  • Is available to travel domestically and internationally
  • Knowledge of world geography
Experience:
  • Minimum 5-10 years in the aircraft parts sales and brokering industry
  • Minimum 5 years as a sales manager in the aircraft parts sales and brokering industry
Attributes:
  • Highly customer focused
  • Strong leadership qualities both with customers and employees
  • Highly efficient and very energetic
  • Ability to set policies, but remain flexible with customer conditions require
  • Ability to be a “hands on” manager and work well with both customers and employees
