The Position

TheDirector, Strategic Sourcing,position is accountable for the purchase adn supply of all parts to support customers and operations and is accountable for defining, implementing and managing supply contracts, vendor relationships and alternative sources of supply as well as the purchase of consumables.
Responsibilities:Play a key role in Heli-One‘s ability to set the standard for safety, helping to maintain our position as world leader.Structure frame agreements with OEM and other major suppliers for aircraft, engine and support equipment products. Frame agreements are to include performance clauses with financial or other remedies to hold suppliers accountable.Benchmark internal and external sources to obtain "best in class" pricing informationDefine, implement and manage supplier contractsCreatively develop a plan to strategically source new opportunities (including utlizing alternative part numbers, repair scheme, surplus markets)Perform analysis of historical and future procurement volume, as requiredLiaise with Vendor/Contract Manager to ensure adequate contractual supply terms and continuous performance management of strategic suppliersStrategically source adn contract Vendor/SuppliersEnsure vendor warranty procedure is implemented and adhered toEnsure that management is informed on a continuous basis on vendor performance developmentEnsure that make vs. buy analyses are performedEnsure department activities are compliant with company protocols, policies, and proceduresEnsure department activities are compliant with company protocols, policies and proceduresOther duties, tasks, and responsibilities as requiredInternational travel may be required

| Requirements: |
A University Degree or equivalent education, training and experienceA minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experienceDemonstrated experience in SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) including performance metrics, dashboards, SCORE reports, contract management and supplier portalsAbility to take business concepts from idea through execution including business case development, internal sales and team developmentBroad knowledge of aerospace suppliers and productsStrong negotiation strategy development and execution skillsSupply chain/logistics management experience within a global environmentSelf-motivated and results oriented with a focus on qualityExcellent listening, verbal and written communication, and presentation skillsExcellent collaborative problem solving skills with an ability to envision a system wide solutionAbility to strategically lead a team in a rapidly evolving and dynamic environmentAbility to think strategically yet also be a ‘hands on‘ managerDemonstrated team player with excellent interpersonal skillsAviation experience desired
