Description: Serves as a Structural Aerospace Engineer with responsibility for applying state-of-the-art engineering knowledge and expertise to the certification and ongoing continued operational safety of aircraft.
Evaluates compliance of products with the appropriate certification requirements and with foreign certification authority regulations governed by bilateral agreements.
As a Structural Engineer, directly participates in planning, developing, reviewing, analysis, and testing associated with major domestic certification projects and/or continuing aircraft airworthiness programs.
Key Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering. Copy of college or university transcript must be submitted with application.
- A minimum of 5 years experience as a Structural Engineer in the aviation or aerospace industry
- Strong structural analysis and FEM review skills
- Able to work independently and professionally in a fast-paced production environment.
- Flexible in working schedule.
- Ability to work together with planning and shop personnel.
- Ability to work in a fast paced production environment.
- Candidate must be a self-starter, high motivated individual.
- Experience with engineering on Hawker Beechcraft aircraft is a plus.
Major Duties: - Perform structural analysis
- Perform FEM review.
- Analyze FEM data to obtain loads and perform structural analysis on key components.
- Ability in engineering basic aircraft structural/ stress analysis and damage tolerance.
