Have a minimum of 2 to 4 years experience performing electronic modifications on military and FAA fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
Must have at least a high school diploma or a graduate of a technical school.
Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical installation and manufacturing engineering drawings. Perform the following tasks utilizing engineering drawings and work instructions with little to no supervision.
Install and wire terminal boards. Terminate various types of aircraft connectors. Perform continuity checks on wiring, connectors and aircraft components. Perform power on checks and operational checks of the system.
Perform harness, video, and RF cable harness fabrication.
Perform installation and troubleshooting of control, power, video, and RF cables and harnesses on aircraft with minimum supervision.
Be qualified and proficient in the use of TACAN, VOR, VSWR, WATT meter etc. test equipment for both on aircraft and in-shop testing of components and systems.
Understand and interpret requirements of Technical Orders 1-1A-14 and 1-1A-15. Understand and interpret requirements of standards AS50881 and J-STD-001. Experienced in the use of all basic hand tools and electrical aircraft modification tools. Must possess normal color vision and have/or correct sight to 20/20.
