Scott‘s - Bell 47, Inc. (SB47) is the new OEM (original equipment manufacturer) of the Model 47 helicopter having acquired the Type Certificates from Bell Helicopter in 2010. The Model 47 helicopter was the first helicopter ever certified by the FAA for commercial use.
SB47 is now responsible for the customer & services support of the 1,000+ Model 47 helicopters in-service today. Through acquiring the type certificate, SB47 is initially responsible to transfer all of the Bell Helicopter drawings & technical data to SB47 drawings & data.
Business development considerations include design of upgrade kits for existing aircraft, product improvements to reduce operating costs and potentially the design/build of brand new Model 47 helicopters.
