Job Description:
Responsible for developing and conducting technical training programs to support Aviation maintenance operations for rotary and fixed wing aircraft in Afghanistan. Training will be platform based instruction on the Mi-17, MD-530 and PC-12 supporting the Afghan Air Force and Special Mission Wing. Successful applicant will be able to pass medical screening and deployment training at US Army CONUS Replacement Center.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and teach aviation maintenance training courses in accordance with the accepted training support packages. 
  • Develop Student training records and job books.
  • Maintain curriculums in accordance with U.S Government provided Training Support Packages, OEM technical manuals, and industry standards.
  • Develop technical training aids, presentations, and material.
  • Ensure maintenance training courses are technically accurate, up-to-date, and clearly relevant to the Student’s every day work.
  • Recommend changes to existing maintenance training programs.
  • Maintain training records for new hire and current maintenance employees.
  • Comply with all specified policies, practices, and procedures.
Job Requirements:
  • Eight (8) years’ experience in aircraft maintenance.Four (4) years’ experience in aircraft maintenance teaching/instruction.
  • Previous assignments overseas in a deployed environment training foreign Students.
  • Experience in a DoD Aviation Maintenance Organization.
  • Prior assignment as platform or field instructor of aviation maintenance.
  • Ideal candidates will possess an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word programs.Knowledge of web-based development tools.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks/ interruptions.
Education:
Associates or Bachelor degree in Education or Aviation related fields.  Years of relevant experience may be used in lieu of education requirement.
