General Description
This is job is at a Depot Level repair facility maintenance on types of aircraft, which include, but not limited to, F/A-18, F-35. Military aviation platform experience is a plus.
 
Duties
  • Will assume several administrative and technical duties and responsibilities.
  • Certify assigned personnel in Individual Qualification Records (IQR) task certifications.
  • Administrative task include, but are not limited to:
  • Daily Time and Attendance (TAA) verification, notification to FRCW supervisors of personnel not in attendance, TAA verification sheet turned in for payroll, training and monitoring new employees on MRP II requirements as well as labor transactions, and attend any required work lead meetings.
  • Communicating work instructions from supervisors to ensure timely start of work projects.
  • Demonstrate proper work methods and speed of work.
  • Ensure needed plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available, and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations.
  • Communicate decisions that were made to solve issues.
  • Answer questions on procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives.
  • Follow-up on work in progress to ensure work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines are met.
  • Assure safety and housekeeping rules are followed.
  • Report to supervisors on any work delays.
  • Disassemble, repair, rework and install various systems components such as wings, control surfaces, control systems, landing gear, arresting gear, fuel cells, instrumentation, and engines.
  • Install hydraulic tubing, actuating cylinders, and cable controls.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education/Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three (3) relevant work experience
  • Prefer experience from military fixed wing community or civilian heavy structure background
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience.Must have Military installation DEPOT level maintenance experience
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have or be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Functional Requirements:
  • Must be able to walk, stand, crawl, kneel and bend on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
  • Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp, pull over hand, push, reach or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
  • May be required to lift up to 44 pounds and heavy, moderate carrying up to 44 pounds.
  • May be required to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
  • Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales with or without corrective lens.
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
  • Must be able to distinguish color, shades of color and judge three-dimensional depth.
  • May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, crane, truck, tractor, etc.
Environmental Factors:
Work in an inside/outside environment to include working around machinery, objects, vehicles, ladders, and scaffolds.Excessive noise and vibration that can be intermittent or constant.Environmental conditions can included but not limited to dust, silica, asbestos, fumes, smoke, gas, solvents such as degreasing agents, grease, oils, and electrical energyWorking on slippery or uneven surfacesWorking closely with others or working alonePossible protracted or irregular hours of work as needed or required.
