Job Summary:

The Safety & Process Improvement Facility & Training (SPIFT) Coordinator will support of all MRO service center requirements related to environmental, health and safety, continuous improvement and preventative maintenance issues resulting in exceptional standards and control mechanisms to sustain customer and employee satisfaction, and overall MRO success.

Job Duties:
  • Coordinate the completion of all P3E actions and activities required to sustain and raise our qualification level standard
  • In collaboration with Regional EHS and EEJS MRO Director to ensure that all 3 EEJS MRO centers remain in compliance with all State, Local and Federal Regulations relating to EHS such as federal and state OSHA, EPA; maintain positive relationships with Regulatory Agencies
  • Proactive approach to safety and environmental issues, perform risk analysis for specific areas as required
  • Analyze/ trend observation data and spend a significant amount of time on the maintenance hangar floor to identify needed safety improvement projects
  • Drive constant improvement in human, equipment, product, facility safety and housekeeping at all sites
  • Establish training, along with other programs and initiatives to improve safety awareness and conformance to safe practices on and off the job
  • Execute a comprehensive facility inspection process to ensure continuous improvement while maintaining regulatory compliance
  • Demonstrate ability to perform root cause analysis of incident/accident investigations
  • Experience with Lean, Kaizen, 5S or Six Sigma methodologies; Green Belt or Black Belt Certification a Plus or Similar Certification
  • Create and perform training of staff for core TPM tools required to support aircraft maintenance activities
  • Maintain training records and coordinate training programs with all the sites through the LMS (Learning Management System) and CBT’s (computer based training)
  • Coordinate, develop and implement a TPM program to minimize hazards and losses within the EEJS MRO centers while fostering a cultural transformation to proactive instead of reactive
  • Ensures that TPM goals and objectives are met with positive results on productivity, customer satisfaction, efficiency and cost
  • Work with the leadership team throughout the TPM implementation phases and conduct on-going trainings on autonomous maintenance methodology and principles.
  • Ability to work as part of a Team solving problems, or issues that may arise, offering solutions
  • Communicate Safety, Quality and P3E policies to all employees
  • Implement, support, and maintain quality management systems, continuous improvement programs, human factors, employee PE safety, and preventative maintenance programs
  • Maintain cleanliness on line and 5S standards
  • Equipment and work areas must be kept organized, clean and sanitary throughout all shifts
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Travel required (due to locations of Facilities)
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
  • Typically requires BS/BA Undergraduate Degree in an Engineering or Information Technology Discipline 
  • FAA Mechanic certificate with Airframe and Powerplant Ratings preferred
  • Generally 5-7 years’ of experience in area of responsibility or 3-5 Years’ of experience
  • Experience in corporate Aviation and Aircraft Maintenance with two years’ experience in Lean processes and Safety Programs
  • Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices in their work assignments which typically are complex in nature
  • Knowledge of the 40 CFR 112, 260, 261, 262 regulations and 29 CFR 1910 General Industry regulations; OSHA 10-30 Hour Certification or RCRA Certification (Environmental) a plus
  • Technical background and understanding of aircraft maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of all government regulations concerning the operations, e.g. OSHA, EPA, FAA, as well as good maintenance practices for MRO facilities
  • Understanding of executive jet maintenance programs and operations with a basic understanding of CFR Part 91, Part 135 operations and Part 145 repair station capabilities and limitations
  • High levels of computer literacy and ability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Working Conditions / Environment/ Special Requirements
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations
  • Able to work extended hours during peak business periods
