Job Description:
Experienced Chief Pilot to supervise pilot staff for 33 helicopters operating across Alberta and BC.

Job Requirements:

Short-listed applicants for this position will have the following attributes:

1. Hold:
At least a Transport Canada Commercial Pilot Licence (Helicopter), a valid Transport Canada ‘Pilot Proficiency Check’ on either BH06 or EC30An approved mountain flying qualification

2. A minimum of 5,000 helicopter flight hours including, at least:
1,000 hours on each of the BH06 and EC30. 1,000 hours in the mountainous regions of Canada, 500 hours acquired within the preceding three years. Extensive wildfire, winter and external load operations

3. Ability to demonstrate to Transport Canada comprehensive knowledge of:
The content of the Company Operations and Training Manuals. The provisions of CARs and CASS, Flight operating procedures essential to ensure flight safety

4. A personal record in relation to aviation that does not include:
Any conviction under subsection 7.3(1) of the Aeronautics Act; or Two or more CARS convictions, occurring during separate, unrelated events. Any accident, reportable incident or violation within the past five years

5. Skills: Excellent listening, verbal and written communication, including ability to lead sensitive conversations with staff at all levels. Strong creative problem-solving and analytical ability, superior organizational ability, excellent time management, strong computer aptitude, including MS Office and web-based applications

The position, reporting to the Director of Operations, is remunerated with a combination of salary, flight pay and benefits in the upper range of current industry norms.
