Offer Employee Help Using JSfirm Job Site
JSfirm announced Monday at Heli-Expo in Anaheim, Calif.,
that companies using their Web sites to advertise job openings
can take advantage of JSfirms E program.
According to cofounder and managing partner Sam Scanlon, This
is not an outplacement program [but] a less expensive and
more effective way for aviation companies to help employees
who are laid off as a result of downsizing to find work.
The E program is already included in company membership fees.
Through it, JSfirm provides career counseling, résumé
building assistance, Web site instruction and a list of hiring
companies.
It will also allow members to download material to hand out
to employees who have been affected by the current economic
crisis. Scanlon describes it as a touch of class for
companies to provide their employees this service.
JSfirm currently has 4,000 company members and 63,000-plus
individual résumé members, and the company numbers
have not dropped as the recession has grown.
