CVG Base Coordinator Overview:
Sun Country Airlines is seeking a CVG Base Coordinator to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to pilots and the Chief Pilot Office at the CVG Base. This role serves as the central point of contact for pilot inquiries, technical publications, and base operations, ensuring efficient communication and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

- Conduct flight planning, dispatch releases, operational control, and flight monitoring for all flight operations within assigned route system
Chief Pilot Office and Pilot Support
- Provide administrative support to Pilots and Chief Pilots at CVG Base, ensuring efficient operations and timely resolution of inquiries and issues.
- Act as the front-line resource for pilot questions, coordinating with internal and external departments as needed.
- Communicate critical updates rapidly in urgent situations to maintain operational safety.
- Verify that sleep rooms are available and clean when their use is anticipated by Sun Country Pilots.
- Redirect scheduling change requests (e.g. death, medical, jury duty) to the appropriate department at MSP HDQ.
- Keep the base office and lounge organized and stocked.
- Plan, organize, and implement base events to support culture and engagement.
- File safety irregularity reports promptly and ensure details are logged and distributed.
- Partner with peers to cover hours of operation and maintain smooth base operations.
- Ensure Sun Country Pilots have a pre-brief with and Maintenance before flights.
- Initiate aircraft wake-up by verifying maintenance status, coordinating power-up and servicing, and ensuring the aircraft is flight-ready for crew and dispatch.
- Manage electronic documentation and file organization using MS Teams and Sun Country network, ensuring records are properly maintained, accessible, and up to date.
- Reconcile expense reports, company card, and reimbursements in Concur.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Technical Publications and Regulatory Support
- Manage Amazon aircraft mailboxes and ensure timely delivery, retrieval, and secure handling of technical publications and operational documents.
- Serve as the primary liaison between CVG Base and MSP Technical Publications, facilitating communication, document requests, and compliance support.
- Print and distribute flight manuals, SOPs, and regulatory documents; assist with filing and retrieval during audits or inspections.
- Prepare and maintain aircraft documentation and related materials to support crew readiness upon arrival.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Previous aviation experience.
- Ability to be visible and available at the CVG Base.
- Ability to work a variety of hours including weekdays, weeknights, and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Previous 121 ATP pilot experience or aviation maintenance experience.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive/confidential information.
- Teamwork, collaboration, and technical proficiency in relevant office and flight operations systems.
- Ability to support compliance documentation and audit readiness.
- Capacity to respond quickly and accurately in time-sensitive situations.
Compensation:
Pay or shift range: $26.00 - $32.00 USD per hour. This is the base compensation hiring range for this role.
