Job Description:

Collins Aerospace is looking for an ODA Administrator (Organization Designation Authorization) to lead the ODA Unit and coordinate with FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) officials. You will be supporting the ODA Lead Administrator to ensure that the ODA Unit is working per FAA requirements, this includes providing training, maintaining procedures, providing guidance to ODA UM (Unit Members) and other organizational teams, conducting audits, and addressing FAA inquiries as required. In addition, you will have the opportunity to interact with several levels of Aerostructures leadership and FAA authorities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure the company complies to FAA requirements
  • Support the ODA Lead Administrator with the management of the ODA Unit
  • Act on behalf of the ODA Lead Administrator when necessary
  • Perform oversight of ODA UM functions
  • Provide guidance to ODA UMs and other organizational teams
  • Revise and maintain the ODA Procedures Manual, and other procedural documents
  • Create and deliver ODA Training
  • Develop ODA Self-Audit Checklists and performing ODA Self-Audits
  • Create and maintain metrics and visuals

Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor\u2019s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be U.S. Citizen
  • 5 years FAA experience with Technical Airworthiness Responsibilities.
  • Experience managing one or more technical disciplines including leading teams
  • Experience with FAA regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to the ODA function codes (13063M, 13064M, 13080M, 13090M)
  • Experience with Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) ODA
  • FAA appointment required by completing 1) FAA Initial/Recurrent Training, 2) FAA ODA Applicant Training Part I and Part II, and 3) ODA seminar every 2 calendar years
  • Able to communicate and make presentations to various levels of leadership within the organization and the FAA.
  • Able to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally when circumstances permit

Preferred Qualifications

  • ODA Administrator experience.
  • FAA Manufacturing Inspection Designee experience.
  • Experience in direct working relationship with the FAA in connection with the issuance of domestic and export airworthiness approvals and type certification conformity inspection.
  • AS9100 Auditor Training and Quality System audit experience.
  • Working knowledge of Aerostructures Quality System, SAP, Teamcenter, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project and Excel.
