Purchasing Specialist

The Purchasing Specialist will draft and negoiate purchasing agreements, conduct RFPs, RFQs and contract negotiations with suppliers for completion activities for the purpose of reducing costs. In this role, you will work with suppliers in the management of developments of new products, to resolve disputes with suppliers, and you will be the primary point of contact for suppliers at Dassault Falcon Jet (DFJ).

PRINCIPLE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducts RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations to reduce the costs of materials and supports RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs initiated previously.
• Partner with our legal team for development of contracts and agreements.
• Ensure that suppliers meet their contractual obligations, negotiates recovery plans and financial damages.
• Works with departments to ensure that supplier constraints are understood and taken into account.
• Documents and reolves disputes with suppliers.
• Sources alternative vendors for purchasing and operating cost savings.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field or 8 years of purchasing experience in place of the degree requirement.
• Three (3) years of purchasing experience (This 3 years will be in addition to the 8 years listed above if you have no degree).
• Understanding of methods, practices and techniques of contract negotiations.
• Understanding of purchasing practices and procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.
