This role will perform various work assignments within the RMS Metrology Organization. Will serve as the Lead Quality representative responsible for maintaining laboratory NAVSEA certifications and future ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540.3 accreditations in Moorestown NJ and Manassas VA. May potentially support additional RMS laboratories as future accreditation requirements arise at management discretion. Will provide technical assistance and mentorship to other employees which includes in-place technical support to the lab Metrologist and Calibration Technicans.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Manage laboratory Quality Assurance program.

- Serve as Technical Audit/Assessment Lead

- Lead development of ISO17025 compliant calibration procedures and processes with support of Metrologist

- Maintainenance of accurate calibration records and reports in calibration management database

- Assist in planning calibration workloads when inputs are needed

- Manage tasks and work with team to meet customer requirements and schedules

- Maintain multi-site Scope of Proficiency

- Participate in metrology/calibration training courses, stay current on technical advances

- Support the team in identifying processes improvements

- May require travel
Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
• 3 years or more experience working within an ISO/IEC accredited Calibration Laboratory
• 3 years or more experience in the development of uncertainty budgets and authorship of 17025 compliant calibration procedures
• In-depth knowledge of National and International Calibration Standards such as but not limited to: ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540.3 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1
• Experience in calibration and repair of a broad range of inspection, measuring, and test equipment
• Ability to use computer controlled automatic test equipment calibration system
• Experience in the use of computer, Microsoft Office, and instrumentation control utilizing automated calibration software
• Ability to work effectively as part of the Metrology Team and provide technical leadership to Metrologist and Calibration Technicians
Desired Skills:
Experience with:
• Using/administering Fluke MET/CAL, IndySoft Calibration Recall database software and developing 17025 compliant calibration automation
• Generating and working with uncertainty budgets. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
