About the Company
Our worldwide organization provides the development, manufacture, maintenance and sales of Aircraft Instruments, Navigational Systems, Ground Support Equipment and Flight Line Test Systems.
Aeronautical Instrument & Radio Company (AIRCO) established in 1948, has grown to be a major manufacturer and supplier of Airborne Navigational Instruments, Ground Support Test Equipment and TACAN Systems to the United States Military and commercial markets. Over the years our operations expanded worldwide. In order to support our international markets, International Aerospace Inc. was created to coordinate all overseas operations.
Subsidiaries were established in Portugal (est. 1968), and Germany (est. 1972). CINAVE located in Portugal and ELAN GmbH located in Germany, provide the development, manufacture, maintenance and sales of complete military systems and industrial equipment supporting our overseas clients. Both companies have grown into well established organizations supporting their respective Governments. To further support our European market, France Aerospace located in Paris, was established in 1977 to provide exclusive representation, manufacturing and sales in France.
In August 2001 Aeronautical Instrument and Radio Company (AIRCO) acquired the Republic Electronics Division of Microwave Power Devices (MPD)/Ericsson (AMT). A new company was created called AIRCO Republic Electronics Inc. This acquisition enhanced our product portfolio to now include the manufacturing and sales of Flight Line, Navigation, IFF, RADAR, & Electronic Warfare Test Equipment for the military and major airframe manufactures.
