Job Description:
​Performs duties as an aircraft electrician under the direction of the assigned shop lead. Performs aircraft electrical, navigational and avionic maintenance wiring repairs on aircraft and subcomponents. Performs maintenance on the electrical components associated with the aircraft using the specific aircraft. Diagnoses and repairs aircraft electrical malfunctions. Uses common measuring tools. Performs aircraft avionics systems operational checks. Performs operator maintenance on tools and GSE. Prepares aircraft maintenance forms and records. Ensures operations are conducted IAW safety regulations and directives. ​
A. Duties/responsibilities:
1. Ensures aircraft electrical maintenance is planned and coordinated through shop lead and production control.
2. Complies with established maintenance procedures.
3. Establishes daily maintenance goals, objectives and priorities.
4. Oversees the daily aircraft electrical maintenance requirements.
5. Coordinates through shop lead for maintenance training activities.
6. Supports the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART), as needed.
7. Other tasks as directed by the first line supervisor or higher.

B. Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities under the direction and supervision of the section lead or PC supervisors.
C. Supervisory Responsibilities: As directed by the first line supervisor or higher.
Job Requirements:

A. Education Level:
1. Required: High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Preferred: Advanced degree or equivalent.

B. Training Certifications:
1. Required: Qualified by the appropriate US military aircraft electrician maintenance course or civilian equivalent.
2. Preferred: Graduate of US Military aircraft electrician school and FAA A&P Certificate.

C. Experience:
1. Required: Four (4) years’ experience as an aircraft electrician.
2. Preferred: Two (2) years’ experience as an aircraft electrician on UH-60M.

D. Specific knowledge, skills, ability:
1. Must be able to communicate effectively with host nation personnel and company management.
2. Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
3. Possess a valid driver’s license.
4. Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire.
